Dr. Alister Ramachandran is a specialist in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine. He has been extensively trained in the fields of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in various healthcare systems; India, UK & Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.
Dr. Ramachandran was awarded dual specialist qualifications in the field of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in both Australia and Ireland. He has a special interest in the Interventional Pain Medicine and has completed the World Institute of Pain certification (FIPP); which is the highest level of accreditation in the field of interventional pain management.
He has over 17 years of experience in Anaesthesia and he has been helping patients with chronic pain for the last 10 years. During this period, he has learnt various approaches in treating patients and applies the best available, incorporating evidence based medicine in the field of pain medicine.
He currently heads the multidisciplinary pain service at Westmead hospital and has hospital appointments in pain medicine and anaesthesia at Nepean Hospital. He is passionate about Pain Medicine and is actively involved with the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) as a supervisor for post graduate pain trainees and a Faculty of Pain Medicine examiner. He is also dedicated to research in this challenging field and has authored book chapters and presented widely in the field of pain medicine.

Dr Piumali Gunawardene attained her MBBS in 2000, and FRACP in 2011. She is currently completing a PhD with the University of Sydney.
Dr Gunawardene has rotated through many surgical and medical subspecialties in Concord, Canterbury, Blacktown, and Nepean Hospitals prior to completing her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011. She started practising as a consultant Physician and Geriatrician from the year 2012 up-to-now.
Dr Gunawardene is an accredited VMO with admission rights to the Norwest Private Hospital, The Hills Private Rehabilitation Hospital and Nepean Private Hospital.
She also works as a Staff Specialist at the Nepean Public Hospital and actively involved in teaching medical students attached to the Sydney clinical School.

Nora completed her Physiotherapy degree from Western Sydney University, graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy. She has expertise in spinal and postural health and enjoys treating neck pain and headaches, pelvis, hip and lower back problems and brings a holistic approach to your physiotherapy treatment. She also enjoys progressing clients through post operative rehabilitation.
Nora also has a keen interest and dedication in Women’s Health, supporting the health, fitness and well-being of women of all ages, from growing pains of adolesence, pregnancy, menopause and beyond. Nora provides thorough effective treatment for pregnancy-related issues and post-natal care, pelvic floor problems, continence & pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain. She has completed post graduate training with Women’s Health Training Associates with a course in Introductory Women’s Health and with the Australian Institute of Fitness in Pre and Post Pregnancy and Exercise.
